TS 52.8

Boat size

53 feet

Cabin number

4 +1

The TS 52.8 was designed for a great ocean racer (Francis Joyon), by a renowned architect (Christophe Barreau) who also made it his personal boat. It’s a rare boat (7 examples), and much sought-after for its exceptional performance. It’s somewhere between an Outremer and a Gunboat, but in the spirit of the Pogo.

Baies du monde 2 has been used for hire, mainly with a skipper, and is maintained all year round. In 2021, she will benefit from a refit. She has been optimised for performance (new asymmetric daggerboards and carbon rudders by Marc Lombard, new set of Hydranet Incidences sails + Epex gennaker, structure, rotating mast and carbon cross), but also for comfort (2 indoor showers, outdoor shower, electric WC, 2 low consumption fridges, in lightweight, designer materials). In 2022, new standing and running rigging. In 2023 new tender, exchangers, rotary joints, silent blocks and life-support panels.

She has a very high level of autonomy (solar panels, watermaker, hydrogenerator, lithium batteries with double alternators per engine). It’s an excellent support for your cruises, allowing you to quickly reach sumptuous spots in excellent comfort at sea, while enjoying a spacious platform for 2 families.
